As I was talking with my kids about Brother recently, I started to think about how they could be more involved in this adoption process. Brother is a part of our everyday conversations. We read books about Ethiopia, listen to African music, pray for Brother, and talk about orphans on a regular basis. But I wanted them to have the chance to make a difference for Brother themselves. That is when a lemonade stand popped in my head.
With that said, the McGinty kids and their cousins are so excited about hosting their very 1st Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale on Saturday, June 28th from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. to raise money towards Brother's Adoption. We will be serving delicious ice cold lemonade, cookies, brownies, Rice Krispie treats, muffins and cake pops! We will even have our movie theatre popcorn machine popping out fresh delicious popcorn. To make it even more fun, we will have a bounce house set up for your kiddos (and you if you are brave) to enjoy.
Local peeps, would you consider driving by and supporting our little crew? I know with each new customer, they will be so excited and proud. It has been so much fun discussing why we are doing this with them and seeing them understand that even though they are little, they can make a difference in the world and for Brother. That God calls us all to care for others and their little hands and hearts are just as important as a grown ups in the Kingdom.
1 Timothy 4:12 says:
"Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."
We hope to see you Saturday! Our littles will save a cup of lemonade just for you. The address is posted on the invite below.
